Note: This article is specifically for companies who are participating in our beta test of the Import Hours tool. We hope to have this feature available for more customers soon!
Prepping and Uploading your file
Once you've reached the Import Hours tool, you'll see the option to download our import template. For each of your hourly and non-exempt salaried employees, you'll need to enter First Name, Last Name, Work Email, and the start and end dates of weeks worked, and their hours.
The first row of your file must have these fields:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Work Email
- Start Date
- End Date
- Regular Hours
The start and end dates coincide with each week of the pay period. Each week begins on Sunday and ends on the following Saturday. There are two rows for each employee, coinciding with both weeks of the pay period.
Once you've entered the necessary information, save your file as a CSV and upload it.
There's an error! What do I do?
If there's an error with the file you've uploaded, you'll see a description and location of the error, where possible. To resolve the error, correct your file and re-upload it.
What about importing overtime/double time?
At this time, it's not possible to import overtime or double time into the tool. This is currently in the works, but for now, you will have to enter this data after the import has been completed.
