Insights provide high-level statistics, interactive charts, and dashboards that help you gain an understanding to make data-driven decisions about an organization’s workforce.
To find Insights, log into your Justworks account, find the Analytics section on the navigation bar, and select Insights. This will take you to the Company overview page, where you can see quick snapshots of information on Workforce, Benefits, Finances, and Time Off.
Note: The full capabilities of Insights are only available to Justworks customers who are on the Plus plan.
By clicking More insights within each tile, you’ll be brought to a dashboard, which will present you with charts, graphs, and visualizations that can illustrate a deeper story about a specific business area.
Dashboards
Workforce
The Workforce dashboard shows you headcount information, which is key to understanding your organization's expansion or contraction. View headcount trends and breakdowns by categories, such as Office, Department, Employment Type, Compensation, and more.
Health Benefits
The Health Benefits dashboard helps you monitor and control health and wellness expenses, ensuring you provide valuable benefits within budget constraints. View company health benefits costs by plan, employee, employee contribution, and averages.
Compensation
The Compensation dashboard will help you align your compensation strategy with your overall business goals, from equity and fairness to cost control to retention and attraction.
Time Off
The Time Off dashboard makes monitoring PTO usage easy and simple with helpful visualizations showing PTO trends by employee name, policy, office locations, and more.
Navigating Insights
Hovering over a visualization will present more information in a pop-up bubble and a “?” icon on the top right corner. This provides a quick snapshot and helpful definitions for that particular topic.
For example, the Trend Breakdown of Headcount chart “?” tells you how much headcount increased within the selected date range, which months had the largest and smallest value, and a definition of Headcount.
The “More info” button expands this and provides calculation details and guidance on how to view and use this Insight effectively.
Clicking on a visualization expands the information and lets you focus on it with more detail. The options on the top left allow you to change the visual, metric, and time period, as well as add filters.
There are two sections on the top right-hand side of the screen that you can toggle between — About and Insights.
About tells you more about the visualization you’re looking at, and Insights shows changes over time.
Down the right side, additional tools help you use and view the information to best suit your needs.
Dashboard Settings and Sharing
Each dashboard has a section at the top where you can select a time period and filters, which allow you to narrow in on a specific date range or attributes for the information displayed. Dashboards are, by default, set to a recommended time frame, but you can change that to fit your needs.
