Alaska is what's referred to as a client-reporting state for unemployment insurance. Justworks needs your company’s information to report unemployment taxes under your unemployment account.
In order to report, Justworks needs your Employment Security Tax rate and account number.
Granting Access to Justworks
Once registered, you'll also need to grant Justworks Third Party Admin (TPA) or Power of Attorney (POA) access. You can do so by logging in to your MyAlaska account via the Dept. of Labor website or by completing the paper POA form here.
Please send the form via online, by mail or fax to the state's listed contact information at the top of the form. When filling out POA access please note:
- Justworks Employment Group LLC should be listed as "designated authority".
- Justworks’ address should be listed as P.O. Box 7119, Church Street Station, New York, NY 10008-7119.
- Please check all of the boxes except number 6 under "New".
We don't have an Unemployment Account, what do we do?
Please begin the registration process by signing up for MyAlaska. The agency will send you an email with instructions to verify your MyAlaska account. You must follow the instructions within 24 hours. If you do not receive an email, contact the MyAlaska Help Center at one of the following numbers:

Once your MyAlaska account is created, please register for an Employment Security Tax account here and provide us with account number and tax rate.
If you’re having trouble completing the online account setup process, please contact the state’s customer service line for assistance.
