Wisconsin is what's referred to as a client-reporting state for unemployment insurance. Justworks needs your company’s information to report unemployment taxes under your unemployment account.
In order to report, please send Justworks your Wisconsin Unemployment Account Number, your Unemployment Tax Rate, and your 8-digit Internet Access Key to Grant Justworks Third Party Administrator Access.
Please note your company's 8-digit Internet Access Key is typically mailed to your company after registration. Once you receive it, please send it to Justworks! If you are not able to find your 8-digit Internet Access Key, please contact the state directly.
We don't have a Wisconsin Unemployment Account, what do we do?
If you don't have a Wisconsin Unemployment Account, you can create one via the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. Once your company has completed the account set-up, please call the state directly at 608-261-6700 to confirm your company's registration.
How do we close our Withholding Account?
You can close your withholding account by notifying the department of the last date of withholding (day before Justworks effective date) using one of the following methods:
- Request to Close Account in My Tax Account.
- Email dorwithholdingtax@wisconsin.gov.
- Call (608) 266-2776.
If you’re having trouble completing the online account setup process, please contact the state’s customer service line for assistance.
