Customers with employees in Missouri need to provide Justworks with information to report unemployment taxes under customers' unemployment account numbers.
If you don't have an account number, Justworks can handle the set-up on your behalf. If you already have an account number, you'll need to close your account.
Closing your withholding account
Clients can do this online or by using the Change Request form and following these instructions:
- Complete top portion with name, address, FEIN, MO account #, and contact info
- Enter date of change (day before joining Justworks)
- Enter date last wages paid in MO (before joining Justworks)
- Select "lease employees"
- Skip down to the end and sign/date
Customers can mail directly to state or send to Justworks and we will send on your behalf.
Customers may receive a Client Lessee Notification in the mail when opening an account, but this is common and no action is needed.
If you’re having trouble completing the online account setup process, please contact the state’s customer service line for assistance.
