This article covers how to track time from the Justworks mobile app and the Justworks Time Tracking website. Additionally, we will cover the process for tracking time in real time and for adding time to work previously completed.
It is important to note that your account configuration may not allow for some of these features. To request any changes to your account configuration, please contact your account administrator.

Clocking in from the Justworks mobile app

Select 'Clock In' at the top of the screen.

Select a location from the list and select Done. If your account has a geofence enabled, you will only be able to select a location from the list where the distance is shown in green. If no distances are shown in green, you are not able to check in from your present location.

- If available, you can select a Job Code when clocking in. Job Codes allow you to be paid different rates for different types of work. When you check in, you’ll be able to choose from the Job Codes your employer has set up, with each code tied to a specific pay rate. To track time using Job Codes, your employer must first enable and configure Job Codes in your Justworks account.

- Then, if applicable, you can then select a Project

- One you have selected a location, and a project, select Start shift

- You're now checked in for work. You can select Start break when you are stepping away or Clock out when you have finished for the day.

- You can repeat this process as many times as needed in a day as long as the admin of the account sets the preference to do so. All entries will appear on your timesheet.

- Sign in to your account at hours.justworks.com
- From the 'Track Time' tab, click on the 'Check in to a new shift' button.
- Choose a location, job code (if appliable), and project (if applicable) from the dropdown list.
- Click on 'Start'.

- To clock out or start a break, click on the row for the shift in the table and click on 'Start Break' or 'Check Out' in the shift details window.

Manually adding a new shift on the Justworks Time Tracking Website
Employees can add their shifts if it is permitted by their manager. Follow the steps below to Manually Enter your shift on the website:
- Please sign in to Justworks Time Tracking.
- Click the Timesheet Tab.
- Click the Green Button “Add Shift for Completed Work”. If you do not see this button then you are not allowed to manually enter your shifts. You will need to consult with your manager for further instructions.

- Once you click that button, a new window will appear.

- Make sure you can select a Location. This must be done first before going further. If you do not see a list of Locations to choose from, most likely you have not been assigned to one. Please consult with your manager for further steps.

- After you select a location, make sure you choose the date that you would like to enter your shift. New shifts always start with the current date that you are in.
- If you took any breaks, please click the Breaks Tab that is in the window to create your break. Once you have completed your break please click Save.

- Once your break is Saved, click the Summary page to go back to the Shift Details and see that the break you have entered is recorded and calculated.

- If you have the same shift along multiple days you can click the “Copy this shift to additional days” to add the same shift to days other than the day you are currently on. Once you click the link a calendar will appear for you to select multiple days.

- Once all information has been entered and everything looks good. Please click the Save button so it can Save your shift and bring you back to the Timesheet page.
Manually adding a new shift on the Justworks Mobile app
Employees can add their shifts if it is permitted by their manager. Follow the steps below to manually enter your shift on the Justworks mobile app.
- Select Time tracking

Select the timesheet you would like to add a shift to and select the plus in the top right cornerIf you do not see this button you may not have permission to add new shifts. If this is the case, please contact your account administrator to confirm your access.

- Once selecting the plus, you will be prompted to enter the details for the shift you would like to add.

Once you have entered all the necessary information, select Save shift to see the details of the shift you have just added.
