We all need a break once in a while. In Justworks, it's easy to request the time off you deserve for that much-needed "me" time.
To get started, log into Justworks and find 'Calendar' in the left-hand panel under 'Company'. Clicking on 'Calendar' will bring you to your company's calendar where you can see holidays, PTO, and even team birthdays if your admins have enabled them. The calendar initially shows the United States by default.
If you want to view more regional information, you can tailor the calendar to display holidays specific to a region. For example, by clicking on Alberta, you’ll see holidays specific to that province. These newly filtered holidays are highlighted in a different color, making it easier to navigate.
In order to see your desired country, select Show Filters under the Holiday Filter section and select the countries you want to enable. For countries with sub-regions ex. Provinces in Canada, you will see those, too!
Employee Calendar View
Another way to view your upcoming time off is through the 'Time Off' view, found under 'You' in the left-hand panel. The holidays displayed here are relevant to your location, not just general U.S. holidays. By selecting 'show all', you can see all the holidays for the current and following year that apply to your personal time off (PTO) policy.
This view is especially helpful if you’re planning some time off, as it allows you to maximize your days off using the holiday calendar and your assigned PTO policy.
For instance, if you request time off that overlaps with a holiday, the holiday won’t be counted as part of your time off request. So, if you take a vacation over a holiday, it will only count as two days off instead of three.
