Whether it's your first international hire (congrats!) or you're adding to your global workforce, follow this guide to efficiently onboard your international hires into the Justworks platform.
Getting Started
Navigate to 'Manage > Employees' on the left-hand panel of your Justworks dashboard. This section displays a list of your current employees, including any international staff you may have previously added.
Inviting a New Employee
To onboard a new international team member, simply click the 'Add' button located at the top of the Employees page. This action will direct you to our Invitation Center.
As you scroll down in the Invitation Center, you'll find the option to add an 'EOR Employee.' [This feature is specially designed for customers utilizing Justworks international services.]
Filling Out Employee Details
Click on 'Add Employee' and enter your new employee’s details:
- First/Last Name: Enter the employee's first and last name.
- Email Addresses: Add either a personal or work email address. If you add both, you'll later choose which one to use for sending the invitation.
- Assigning Roles: Fill in their job title, outline their responsibilities, and assign them to a department within your organization.
Setting Employment Terms
Fill out the information for your EOR employee, including
- Employment Type: By default, the employment type is set to 'Indefinite.'
- Pay Basis: The pay will automatically be set to a salary. You’ll also need to enter the Pay amount per year in the employee's local currency.
Sending the Invitation
After you've completed the form, choose the email address you’d like to use to send the invitation. If no personal email was provided, the system will default to the work email.
Finalizing the Invitation
Click 'Submit' to send out the invitation. This will allow your new international employee to begin their onboarding process online.
