Justworks Travel Assist, powered by Zurich Travel Assist®, provides international travel support and insurance coverage for EOR employees on business trips more than 100 miles from home.

What Is Justworks Travel Assist?

Justworks Travel Assist is part of our Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) plan and includes 24/7 emergency and travel assistance for employees traveling for business. Coverage begins when you leave your home and applies globally throughout your trip.

Policy Limitations

No transport or service will be covered unless the employee contacts Zurich Travel Assist prior to the transport, the attending physician approves, if applicable, and Zurich Travel Assist pre-authorizes the transport or service.

Policy Exclusions

  • The coverage is excluded from our policy.
  • The covered trip was taken for the specific purpose of securing medical treatment.
  • Any local, state, country, or international law prohibits the provision of transportation or service under this coverage.
  • Zurich did not pre-authorize the transportation or services.
  • The illness or injury requiring medical services resulted from being intoxicated as defined under the Travel Assist coverage.

Who’s Eligible?

Only Justworks EOR (Employer of Record) employees are eligible. Spouses, dependents, and contractors are not covered. This benefit applies only during business travel and begins when you travel 100+ miles from your residence.

When calling, reference Justworks and policy number GTU 5671538, and identify yourself as insured by Zurich in North America.

If the employee contacts Zurich directly, our Workers' Compensation team will also be notified.

Important: No transport or service will be covered unless the employee contacts Zurich Travel Assist prior to the transport, the attending physician approves (if applicable), and Zurich Travel Assist pre-authorizes the transport or service.

No. EOR employees are automatically enrolled—no action needed.
+ Can this be used by employees working abroad?
Yes. Coverage is applicable to any EOR employee traveling to any country for business purposes.
+ Does this benefit include hospitalization?
Yes. This benefit includes emergency medical treatment, evacuation, and repatriation services.
+ What types of workers and trips are covered?
Coverage applies only to Justworks EOR employees traveling more than 100 miles from their residence for business purposes.
+ Are spouses and dependents covered?
No. Coverage is only for Justworks EOR employees.
+ Is there a maximum coverage amount?
There is no specific global coverage cap. Limits are set per service (e.g., Medical Evacuation is capped at $100,000).
+ Can employees or employers pay to upgrade this benefit?
No. Upgrades or customizations are not available.
+ Are there geographic or mileage restrictions?
No, there are no geographic restrictions, as long as travel is business-related and more than 100 miles from home.
+ Is there a time limit for coverage?
Travel Assist is available 24/7 for eligible business trips, from departure to return.
+ How do employees file a claim?
No need for an admin to initiate a claim. Employees should call:

+ Is there a deadline to file claims?
Yes. Claims must be filed in writing within 20 days.
+ If an employee’s employment is terminated, can they continue using this benefit?
No. Coverage ends when employment ends. It is only available during active business travel as an EOR employee.
