This article is about Justworks PEO. What product am I using?
Utah is what's referred to as a PEO-reporting state for unemployment insurance. Justworks will report unemployment taxes under the Justworks unemployment account number. Customers will be subject to the Justworks state unemployment rate.
Closing UT Unemployment Account:
Justworks should be able close out your existing unemployment account (if applicable) during the onboarding process. If there seems to be an issue where your account has remained open, please reach out to Justworks.
Closing UT Withholding Account:
- To close your Utah Withholding account please complete form TC-69c.
- In section A1, input the closure date as the day before your premiere date with Justworks. Make sure to input and signature in the correct place further below on the document.
- To send the completed form to the state, there is both a fax number and a mailing address listed near the bottom of the document.
