How to Navigate Advisor Dashboard

After connecting clients to your Advisor Dashboard account, you’ll be ready to take advantage of all the Advisor Dashboard has to offer.

To help you get the most out of your Advisor Dashboard account, we’ve put together this quick guide on key Advisor Dashboard features, including accessing client accounts, managing your firm’s team,  and updating firm information.

How to Access Client Accounts

With your Advisor Dashboard account, you will only have to log into one platform to view and manage multiple clients’ Justworks accounts.

Once logged into Advisor Dashboard, you can see a client’s information by going to the ‘Clients’ category on the lefthand menu, then clicking either the ‘PEO’ or ‘Payroll’ tab, depending on which Justworks product the client uses.

After clicking into the applicable tab, you’ll find high-level information for each of your clients using that Justworks product, including upcoming debit dates and the Justworks contact assigned to the account, whether it be their Onboarding Manager, Customer Support Manager, or the Support Team.

While the ‘Active’ tab shows any clients live on Justworks, the ‘Enrolling’ tab shows clients currently going through the onboarding process, and the ‘Terminated’ tab shows clients no longer using Justworks.

If you click on a company’s name, a new tab will automatically open to the company’s profile on either Justworks PEO or Justworks Payroll.

To navigate from one client’s account to a different client’s account, you will not need to log in again. Since you’ve already logged into Advisor Dashboard, the Dashboard tab will remain open in your original tab — you can simply return to the Dashboard and select another client to view their account details with just one click!

How to Assign Client Access

Once you’ve added your other firm team members to Advisor Dashboard, you can grant them client-specific access by assigning them any range of permissions that your firm has been given by the client’s Justworks admin.

Firm team members can be assigned to clients with varying levels of permissions by an Advisor Dashboard admin with ‘Manage all clients’ permissions. There are two ways to assign client access — from the team view and from the client view — and the steps for each can be found below.

Assigning clients from the team view

  1. Go to the Firm Info tab and select your team member.
  2. Click the ‘Assign client’ button in the top right corner.
  3. From there, choose the client from the dropdown menu.
  4. Set the permissions for your firm team member.
  5. Click ‘Assign member.’

Removing a firm member from a client’s account is as simple as selecting the option to ‘Unassign client.’ This will fully remove the firm member’s access to that company within Justworks PEO or Justworks Payroll.

Assigning clients from the client view

  1. Go to the ‘Manage all clients’ tab.
  2. Select the client and review the permissions assigned to your firm.
  3. From here, click ‘Assign firm member’ in the top right corner.
  4. Choose a firm team member from the drop-down menu.
  5. Set the permissions for that team member, then click ‘Assign member.’

Firm members’ permissions can also be updated at any time by the ‘Firm info’ tab on the left side of the screen under the category ‘Firm.’ From there, you can select a firm member’s name and choose ‘Firm permissions’ from the left side menu.

Clicking the ‘Edit’ button in the ‘Firm permissions’ section will allow you to add or remove firm member permissions as needed.

How to Terminate Firm Members

If a member of your firm’s team leaves, they will need to be terminated from the Advisor Dashboard to ensure they no longer have access to client information.

Follow these steps to remove former firm team members from Advisor Dashboard:

  1. Go to the ‘Firm Info’ tab and select the terminated team member’s name.
  2. Click on ‘Remove member’ at the top right of the page.
  3. Confirm that the member should be removed.

Please note that a firm member’s termination is permanent, and we are not able to reinstate their Advisor Dashboard account.

How to Terminate Clients

Whenever your firm stops working with a client, you can remove that client’s account from the Advisor Dashboard.

Advisor Dashboard admins can terminate a client by completing these steps:

  1. Go to the ‘Manage all clients’ tab and click on the client’s company.
  2. On the client’s page, select ‘Remove client.’
  3. Confirm the client should be removed.

If a client is removed in error or your firm begins working with them again, the client’s account would need to be connected to your Advisor Dashboard again through the initial invitation steps.

Updating Firm Information

Advisor Dashboard admins can keep their firm’s details up-to-date directly within the Advisor Dashboard by going to the ‘Firm info’ tab under the category ‘Firm’ on the lefthand menu of their screen.

On this page, the firm’s current details on file can be viewed and edited as needed. If the firm’s email domain needs to be updated, you will need to reach out to our Support Team at advisor-support@justworks.com for security purposes — our team will be happy to assist you!
