Step-by-Step Guide

Once an employee is added by their administrator, they will receive an email like the one below with an invitation link to Justworks. Employees will need to click the “Get Started” button in that email to ensure that they enroll in an account that’s connected to their company.

Employees will begin by creating a username and password.

Employees will then be asked to log in using the username and password they just created.

Upon logging in, they will be prompted to set up multi-factor authentication (MFA).

More information on out MFA methods is available within our Multi-Factor Authentication Help Center article.

After setting up MFA, employees will move through the enrollment flow. The first portion will require employees to fill in their personal information. Employees must make sure their name is spelled correctly, and enter in their personal details, such as Date of Birth.

Note: Some of the information here will depend on the country. The below flow is for Canada, where an employee would need to enter in a Social Insurance Number, for example.

Employees will also fill out their contact information, such as home and mailing address, so we know where to send any required documents. Emergency contact information is also required.

Employees will then need to complete Identity Verification (using a 3rd party service called Persona) by clicking on the “Launch Persona” button.

This will navigate employees to the Persona verification flow where they will need to click the “Begin Verifying” button.

They’ll then select the country they work in from the dropdown.

Next, employees will select which type of photo ID they will use to verify their identity.

Employees will then be prompted to take or upload a picture of their ID. They can also choose to do this from their mobile phone.

As an added layer of security, employees may need to take a selfie depending on regional and national requirements.

Note: For example, employees in Quebec, Canada will not need to complete this step.

Once employees complete the identity verification flow, they will be returned back to Justworks where they can “Continue” the Justworks enrollment flow.

Next up, employees will need to enter in their banking information, which will vary depending on the country they’re in.

As a final step, employees will need to upload required tax documents, which will also vary by country.

Once their tax documents are submitted, the enrollment flow will be complete and employees will be able to access the Justworks platform!
